Media Terms and Conditions
Visit Longmont Media Statement
Visit Longmont is committed to promoting Longmont as a destination through authentic and engaging content created by our community, visitors, and partners. This Media Statement outlines how user-generated content (UGC), photographs, videos, and related media may be collected, used, and shared by Visit Longmont and its promotional partners.
User-Generated Content and Permissions
Visit Longmont may contact social media users to request permission to feature their content—including photos, videos, reviews, text, comments, and other materials (“User Content”)—across Visit Longmont’s websites, social media channels, printed materials, advertisements, and other promotional campaigns.
Permission may be granted through SnapSea, contests, social platforms, or direct asset requests. By authorizing the use of your User Content through any of these channels, you agree to the terms and conditions in this Media Statement. Visit Longmont engages SnapSea to help identify and distribute UGC for use in marketing activities. Visit Longmont or SnapSea may update these Terms without prior notice by posting a revised version, and you are encouraged to review the latest Terms when granting permission.
Copyright and Ownership
By submitting or granting permission to use your User Content, you affirm that you are the copyright holder and that your release of this material is voluntary. You acknowledge that you will not receive financial compensation for the use of your content.
You further agree that inclusion of your content in Visit Longmont’s or its partners’ publications, websites, advertisements, videos, or social media does not confer rights of ownership or control. You release Visit Longmont, its officers, employees, contractors, representatives, agents, and partners from liability for any claims in connection with the use of your content.
Visit Longmont will not sell submitted or released content to third parties.
Rights of Use
By granting permission, you assign Visit Longmont a royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use your content in any future promotional activity, including but not limited to print, digital, video, or advertising formats. Visit Longmont may request high-resolution or original versions of your media, and by providing them you agree to these same terms.
Use by Partners
This Media Statement also extends to Visit Longmont’s promotional partners, including but not limited to local organizations, government partners, and community groups, who may use approved content when promoting Longmont. Any such use will remain consistent with the rights and conditions outlined above.
Acknowledgment
By responding affirmatively to a content request or otherwise granting permission, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Media Statement.
