Call for Content Creators

Visit Longmont invites local artists, photographers, content creators, and videographers from Colorado and nearby areas, regardless of experience level, to submit their work for use in our destination marketing efforts. 

Visit Longmont, the area’s destination marketing and management organization (DMMO), is seeking submissions for images & videos to be considered for use in upcoming digital, print, and social media marketing materials to attract visitors and guests to the community of Longmont and surrounding area. We are focusing on culturally diverse content representing all the great things Longmont has to offer visitors.

It is our goal to educate visitors about Longmont’s attractions, dining, culture, history, and knowledge through content created by local artists, photographers, and storytellers, to inspire visitors to experience these opportunities and support locally-owned businesses and the arts. We will provide compensation for all selected images and may seek to contract with individuals or organizations for multiple images and/or future opportunities.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

You are invited to share your video or images depicting the following categories:

• Diverse talent enjoying locally owned restaurants, breweries, distilleries, businesses, throughout the community.
• Diverse talent experiencing local art, cultural activities, purchasing artwork.
• Diverse talent at hotel settings, checking in, sitting in rooms, conducting meetings.
• Diverse talent seeing accessible infrastructure - i.e. wheelchair ramps, handicapped accessible hotel rooms, accessible trailheads, trails.
• Diverse talent hiking, walking dogs, birding, biking, running, paddle boarding, rock climbing.
• Wildlife images found in Longmont and surrounding areas.
• Pictures at small, local area farms, agritourism events, and produce stands.
• People picking apples, enjoying farm-to-table dinners, participating in classes
• People enjoying local Longmont attractions: Longmont Museum, St. Vrain waterway and pathways, local trailheads, etc.

You are invited to share content in the following formats:

• Images
• Horizontal video
• Vertical video
• Long-form or short-form video
• Drone footage

We are seeking images incorporating diversity and accessibility with people participating in experiences. We are grateful for your interest in sharing your stories and content with us through your submissions.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: We will be evaluating submissions as they come in, but final deadline for submission is May 31, 2024

HOW TO SUBMIT: Please feel free to submit individual or multiple images and/or videos. Or, you are welcome to submit your portfolio along with a brief introduction about yourself and why you're excited to provide content about Longmont. Include examples of your work that best represent your style and the categories you're most interested in.

• Please fill out the form below to submit your images/videos for consideration.
• High-resolution images are not required for submission for consideration. You will be required to submit a high-resolution version if your image is selected for purchase.
• Please ensure that you have full usage rights to your content and have talent permissions for any people depicted in images, videos, content.
• You are welcome to submit as many images or videos as you like. If you have more than three images / videos to submit, you are welcome to submit multiple forms.
• If your image or video is selected, we will follow up with you to discuss compensation, placement, and usage rights.

WHAT YOU’LL GET:

Selected photographers, videographers and content creators will:

• Be featured in our marketing campaigns, including social media, website, and promotional materials.
• Receive compensation for their work.
• Gain exposure and recognition through our platforms.
• Have the opportunity to work with us on future projects.

If your material is selected, we will contact you to negotiate usage rights and compensation. Compensation will be based on type of usage, placement, and usage rights. If desired, we will include photo/video credit with all photo/video usage.
