Winter in Longmont offers a magical mix of outdoor adventure and cozy relaxation. Whether exploring the great outdoors or enjoying a leisurely skate, Longmont has everything you need for an unforgettable winter getaway.

Start your visit to Longmont with a stop at Loves GF BakeryThis bakery was where James Cash “J.C.” Penney started as a small business owner, and today, it is home to gluten-free treats!

After breakfast, head out for some winter activities! Just outside Longmont are two locations offering cross-country skiing and snowboarding. Head to Rabbit Mountain Open Space to try at one or both.

Local Tip:  Stop by Angles Sports Exchange for ski and snowshoe rentals.  If you prefer more leisurely snow activities, building snowmen, sledding or snowball fights can also be great ways to spend time outdoors in the winter here in Longmont!

Warm up after a morning of cold weather at the Pumphouse Brewery & Restaurant. In a historic Longmont building downtown, the Pumphouse offers an elevated pub and American-style cuisine paired with local beer brewed on-site.

After lunch, explore Downtown Longmont. With shops, eateries and public art, there is so much to do! Create pottery at Crackpots, visit a brewery, cidery or distillery, go shopping or take a self-guided art and history tour of Main Street.

The ice continues at the  Longmont Ice Pavilion. Open for public skating every day of the week at select times. The pavilion is a wonderful place to lace up your skates and enjoy the winter wonderland.

When you're finished with your time on the ice, head to the Longmont Climbing Collective or Warrior Playground.
