Peak to Peak Scenic Byway

The Peak to Peak Scenic and Historic Byway is Colorado's oldest scenic byway, established in 1918. The route is 55 miles in length, with forest land views and mountain landscapes. This is a premier location for leaf peeping in the fall. Make Longmont your starting point, and head out on a day of driving and scenic views. Take Hwy. 119 up to Hwy. 36 through Lyons and up to Estes Park. From there, turn onto Hwy. 7 which becomes Hwy. 72 and take it as far as you want with the byway ending in Black Hawk, Colorado.
