Smokin’ Bowls is a fast casual bowl restaurant with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients highlighting cuisines from around the world set to open April 25th, 2019. The new restaurant is located at 449 Main Street in downtown Longmont. Hours of operation will be 11 AM to 9 PM every day.
After living in Longmont for a few years, the owners of The Roost & Jefes restaurants, Sean & Rebecca Gafner, created this concept out of a desire for fresh food for people on the go! “Fresh” and “Local” are not mere marketing language for Smokin Bowls, rather the core foundation that will be emphasized through the product served such as Longmont raised organic meats, produce, dairy & beers.
From a Hawaiian Ahi Poké Bowl to a Smoked Brisket BBQ Bowl the common thread is fresh, local ingredients served quickly to support the healthy lifestyle of the people of Longmont and greater Boulder County.
“Bowl food has gone from an Instagram craze to Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding menu, proving that ‘bowl food’ is not only aesthetically pleasing comfort food, it is also a convenient way to please a wide variety of palates.” -The Guardian, May 17, 2018
Designed with speed and quality in mind, Smokin’ Bowls will meet the needs of diners seeking a quick and convenient lunch on the go or a fun, family friendly place to gather for fresh food and a local beer. As with the Gafner’s other restaurants, Smokin Bowls will remain committed to giving 10% of profits directly to local non-profit organizations. Another similarity to The Roost and Jefes is that Smokin’ Bowls will stay committed to using no single-use plastics and taking the necessary steps to make the restaurant as energy efficient as possible.
