Shop Local This Season at One of Longmont’s Unique Holiday Markets

The 2017 holiday season is upon us and so is the task of finding the perfect gifts for your friends and loved ones. We have compiled a list below of local craft fairs and maker markets to help with your holiday shopping. Unique gifts, handcrafted items and seasonal fun are sure to make this season’s shopping easy and memorable.

November 9-12 | Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Rd.

The Boulder Potters’ Guild Fall Show and Sale presents their members’ finest functional ceramic wares and sculptures. The show and sale boasts a wide range of ceramic processes from low temperature earthenware, raku and pit fire finishes, to high-fire porcelains and stoneware, including salt- and soda- fired work. Other mediums presented include jewelry, textiles, fused glass, painted silk and embossed paper. Choose from a selection of work from over 50 unique local potters and ceramicists.

Note: Enjoy the Friday Night Artist Reception from 6-8 p.m. (open to the public) to meet the artists, enjoy light refreshments, live music, demonstrations and shopping as well as the Rising Artists High School Ceramic Show.

Mollie McGee’s Holiday Market feature only the highest quality handcrafted items, a juried craft show and a selection of unique items you won’t find in most malls. Visit over 160 booths at this fun, friendly market and visit with the talented artists and crafters who put their hearts and creative hands into their work. Mollie McGee’s is a time-honored tradition – 2017 is their 37th year hosting craft markets at the Fairgrounds.

The goal of this family-friendly, day-long event is to showcase eclectic, one-of-a-kind, locally made and produced goods, while also giving people an opportunity to connect with their community and enjoy an assortment of live performances by local musicians and dance troops.

Join the Boulder County Farmers Markets this holiday season for the 12th Annual Winter Market that will have over 145 vendors onsite including farmers, food purveyors and local artists. Enjoy the flavors of root vegetables, winter squash, specialty cuts of lamb, beef and pork, fresh eggs, preserved fruits and vegetables, wine, coffee and delicious baked goods while browsing local art including candles, jewelry, photography, letterpress cards and knitwares. The weekend will also feature kid’s activities, live music, interactive exhibits, chef demos, gift wrapping stations and more.

Get some of your holiday shopping done at this year’s YORE Holiday Market. The market will feature over 20 vendors, cocktails, snacks and holiday magic. Plus, you’ll get a chance to check out the all-new event venue, The St. Vrain.

The Longmont Artisan Market is a collective of artists and makers focused on empowering small businesses. Their goal is to connect local artists and audiences through community market events and bring handcrafted work to the public in Longmont.
