“PUT YOURSELF IN THE WAY OF BEAUTY”

Riding a motorcycle is an experience of freedom and being fully alive in the moment. It’s a feeling of being open and connected to the sights, smells, and sensations of surrounding mountains, canyons, forests, and rivers. It inspires a sense of presence, both mindfully peaceful and exhilarating, like no other.

“Riding centers me in my heart, thankfully out of my busy head, and gives me the feeling of being incredibly alive in the moment.” says owner Tahnee Swanton who is a Life Coach, Registered Psychotherapist in Colorado, and currently attending Naropa University for her Master’s degree in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling & Psychology. “Meditation and mindfulness doesn’t mean you have to be sitting still on a cushion. I took up riding in mid-life and it has brought me home to myself more than I could have ever imagined.”

While the experience riding itself can be transformative, we also wear Bluetooth-connected helmets so you can request to stop for a quick panorama photo, share our experience of the scenic beauty, or converse on anything from light musings to heartfelt insights or our existential search for meaning and purpose.

LYONS to Rocky Mountain park motO Adventure

This 4 hour adventure is begins in Lyons and it’s the best way to experience the picturesque Rocky Mountain National Park! Along the way we will wind through foothill canyons next to rivers, forests, and soaring open curves along part of the Peak to Peak highway and the RMNP main Trail Ridge road that will be a once in a lifetime experience you will always remember.

In the 17th century, the Ute Nation came to Colorado and they were the only tribe that extensively explored the mountains and Lyons area. The largest tribes that followed were the Cheyenne, Arapaho, and Comanche, along with the Pawnee until the Utes were the last tribe to be forced into Indian reservations after the Colorado Gold Rush. The little historic town Lyons was settled in 1880 by ranchers and the sandstone quarry industry.

Lyons is located 20 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park, at the confluence of North St. Vrain Creek and South St. Vrain Creek. Due to its location at the intersection of State Highway 7 and U.S. Highway 36 which lead to Rocky Mountain National Park, it is sometimes referred to as "The Double Gateway to the Rockies".

We depart from the Lyons and wind directly up into the mountains along to Estes Park, winding along the gorgeous canyon curves of highway 36 next to the Little Thompson River and North St Vrain Creek to Estes Park. Estes Park is the base for the Rocky Mountain National Park, home to wildlife including elk and bears, plus miles of trails.

Rocky Mountain National Park’s Trail Ridge Road winds past craggy peaks, forests and tundra. Soaring along Trail Ridge Road, we take in panoramic views of the park all the way up to the scenic Alpine Visitors Center at 11,796-ft. with a cafe, gift shop and dramatic views. From here we will loop back to Estes Park seeing more expansive park views along the way.

We return south along a section of the scenic Peak to Peak Highway, established in 1918, and provides views of the Front Range Mountains in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Our final stretch eastward from Allenspark winds along the river though the beautiful South St Vrain Canyon.

BOULDER departure: $500 for 5 hours and includes a beautiful cruise along the base of the Foothills though beautiful open space parks and rolling farmland for the 15 miles between Lyons and Boulder.

“one of the top experiences of my life!”

Maggie, Boulder CO

“This was my first time in a sidecar. Admittedly, I came to Tahnee with slight anxiety about the ride. But with the combination of Tahnee's expertise, knowledge, and awareness, I quickly found peace in that sidecar. Fresh air, mountain roads, and sunshine are three powerful healing elements but add speed and a little thrill with a sidecar...and you can come to experience how fun healing can be.”
