Movies return to Main Street when the new Trojan Movie House opens with the 1931 horror classics “Frankenstein” and “Dracula” this month!
As a historic Longmont landmark located at 513 Main Street, the art deco gem originally opened in 1939 as a Fox Theatre presenting live stage productions, vaudeville and movies. In 1960, Richard W. Klein re-christened it the Trojan Theater, and continued to show movies there for the next 30 years. In 1991, it was re-named the Longmont Performing Arts Center when Klein was instrumental in helping the Longmont Theatre Company purchase the building. In 2018, fulfilling Klein’s wish to see live stage productions and movies once again play side by side, the Longmont Theatre Company installed a movie screen.
Dracula will premier October 29 at 7:30 p.m. and Frankenstein will premier October 30 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased via the links down below:
