Longmont Oktoberfest Offers German-Themed Fun, Live Music & Local Craft Beer

For the 7th year in a row, Longmont Oktoberfest is Longmont’s favorite fall gathering featuring national touring act and Red Rocks headliner JJ Grey and Mofro, 10+ breweries, local food, and games for all ages. Ranked as a “Must Visit Oktoberfest” by DRAFT magazine, Longmont Oktoberfest celebrates the summer’s transition to fall on October 5th and 6th at Roosevelt Park. Pull out your lederhosen and dirndls, grab a pretzel or brat, and don’t forget a pint from your favorite Longmont breweries while supporting Longmont charities. Prost!

Friday night the event will take place from 5-10 p.m. This year’s headlining artist, JJ Grey and Mofro is one of the biggest talents to ever perform in Longmont. During his career he has brought his blues/southern rock sound to nearly every major venue in Colorado including headlining dates at Red Rocks Amphitheater. The event continues on Saturday from noon-9 p.m. Annual traditions like the brat eating and stein holding contests, best dressed awards and the world’s longest bratwurst festivities make this an event you won’t want to miss.

Longmont Oktoberfest embraces German traditions like beers, brats and pretzels!

Longmont Oktoberfest set itself apart from other fall festivals in that it is truly a community event. Held in downtown Longmont’s Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Ave., almost all of Longmont’s craft brewers will be in attendance along with two of our local cideries. Food is available for purchase from some of the area’s top restaurants enhancing the local, craft culinary experience, and like most of Left Hand’s High Five Events, Oktoberfest is family-friendly.

Music will be in the air throughout the event, with local talent supporting JJ Grey and Mofro on Friday night, and a full slate of local musicians and bands performing all day on Saturday. Performances will include traditional Oktoberfest music as well as some of Longmont’s most well-known performers. Stay tuned to for additional announcements in the weeks to come.

Nine bands will be rocking the stage at this year’s Oktoberfest including Reel Big Fish and Perpetual Groove.
