Celebrate the Holidays in Longmont!

Starting November 12: Longmont Ice Pavilion – The Longmont Ice Pavilion, located in Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Ave, offers open public skating, hockey, ice skating lessons and party rentals throughout the winter.

November 17 & 18: Mollie McGee Holiday Market – Enjoy a 2-day indoor craft show with over 160 booths featuring unique arts & crafts. Spend the day shopping & finding those special creations for the special people on your list. Admission – $4 covers both days. Kids under 12 are free. No strollers on Sat. Door Prizes every hour.

November 18: Chanukah Wonderland – There will be face painting, lego wars and crafts, as well as a gift shop, story hour and an Olive Press demonstration! Bring the whole family and join the celebration!

November 19: Discover Longmont Food Tours – Come along for 3 delicious stops on this guided food tour. $20 all inclusive ticket. All ages welcome. 2020 Food + Wine BarSumo Sushi & Grill, and El mercado. The tour spends 30-40 minutes at each stop as a group and taste food and drinks at each stop. Come Hungry!

November 23: Dry Land Distillers Holiday Rum Release Party – Limited edition Holiday Rum! It’s Pure Cane Agricole Rum that’s been barrel-aged to holiday perfection – and there is a limited supply. Music, snacks, and holiday cocktails perfect for cruising into the holidays.

November 23: Holiday Tree Lighting – The Downtown Longmont Creative District will kick off the 2018 holiday season with the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony in the 6th Avenue Plaza (west of Main Street). Join Patrick Paws of LMNO Puppets as he and his puppet friends take a look at holiday celebrations around the world. Ring in the holiday season on this festive night filled with hot cocoa, goody bags, carolers and Santa!  After that, bring your family Downtown and help light this year’s tree.

November 23 – December 8: A Christmas Carol– The Longmont Theatre Company presents, “A Christmas Carol” by Romulus Linney. Follow Ebenezer Scrooge on his journey through past, present and future. Buy your tickets now!

November 24: Small Business Saturday – In Downtown Longmont holiday shoppers are encouraged to Shop Local! Stop by the many boutiques and galleries to pick up some gifts and stocking stuffers, then grab something to eat at one of Downtown Longmont’s many restaurants. Need something for the non-shoppers in your group? Drop them off at one of four craft breweries, St. Vrain Cidery, Longtucky Spirits or the newly opened Dry Land Distillery – great places to hang out, grab a craft brew and relax!

Plan to explore the latest shops and restaurants. Watch the ice carvers in St. Stephen’s Plaza, be on the lookout for costumed characters handing out prizes, enjoy live entertainment from street performers and participate in giveaways!

November 29, 30 & December 1: The Gift of Home 2018 Holiday Home Tour – Kick off the Christmas season with The Gift of Home Christmas Home Tour, a fundraiser for Longmont Meals on Wheels! The Gift of Home is a self-guided tour of three beautifully decorated homes, running November 30th and December 1st, with a VIP preview night on November 29th. Decorations will be available for purchase.

December 1: Village at the Peaks 4th Annual Tree Lighting – Join Village at the Peaks for some old-fashioned holiday fun at their 4th Annual Tree Lighting Experience!

December 1 & 2: 12th Annual BCFM Winter Market – The 12th Annual Winter Market at the Boulder County Fairgrounds on Dec. 1 and 2 will feature 70 local food growers and producers and 60 Colorado artists. Enjoy the flavors of root vegetables, winter squash, specialty cuts of lamb, beef and pork, fresh eggs, preserved fruits and vegetables, wine, coffee, and delicious baked goods. Grab breakfast or lunch, listen to live music, and browse local art including candles, jewelry, photography, stationery, and knitwear. December 1: The Gentle Nutcracker – The Longmont Symphony Orchestra and the Boulder Ballet will present a sensory-friendly abridged version of Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker Ballet for individuals with special needs and their families.

December 6: Craft + Brew Christmas Crafting – Unleash your inner kid and come make some Christmas Crafts! Join Left Hand Brewing for a beer and make some quick and easy Christmas Ornaments. Tickets are $30 and include materials for the crafts and 1 pint.

December 7: Holiday Day Cheer Walking Tour – Bring your camera and experience a tour through downtown Longmont’s lights and displays, enjoy some treats and activities at our stops, and get ideas for Santa’s list. An event for the entire family. We will finish at Roosevelt Park, just in time for the fireworks.

December 7 & 8: Longmont Lights Holiday Festival & Parade Enjoy the mystery and magic of millions of sparkling lights and FREE family activities December 7-8 during the City of Longmont’s annual holiday celebration, Longmont Lights!

December 7 & 8: St. Vrain Christmas Walk: Please come enjoy some beautiful Christmas lights, free hot cocoa, and apple cider along the St. Vain Christmas Light walk! We will have carolers, picture opportunities, marshmallows to roast, light tunnels and even Santa!

December 8 & 9: Handcrafted Holiday Market – Attend this free, fun annual event at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. With over 40 vendors selling a wide variety of handcrafted items, you’re sure to find something for everyone on your holiday shopping list!

December 8 – 16: Historic Hoverhome’s Annual Holiday Tours, A Stitch in Time – Tour the beautifully decorated Hoverhome all decked out for the holiday season! Accenting this year’s holiday decorations Hoverhome will also feature over 100 quilts generously loaned by the Interfaith Quilters of Longmont and Jeananne Wright for guests to view and enjoy.

December 9: 8th Night of Chanukah Celebration – Join Jewish Longmont and Village at the Peaks for the 8th Night of Chanukah Celebration! There will be special chocolate coins being dropped from 75 feet in the air along with latkes, donuts and a comedy show!

December 9: “Holly and Ivy” Holiday Concert Series – The United States Air Force Academy Band from Colorado Springs presents their annual “Holly and Ivy” Holiday Concert Series. This year’s theme is “A Holiday Serenade” with classic holiday music and exciting new works featuring virtuosic soloists and eclectic small group arrangements. Tickets are free but required for entry.

December 15: On Your Left Winter 5K Beer Run – On Your Left Winter 5k at Left Hand Brewing on Saturday, December 15th @ 11 AM for a 5k-ish course that starts and ends at this awesome brewery in Longmont! Ugly sweaters are strongly encouraged for this fun winter run.

December 16: Longmont Museum Holiday Showcase  – The Longmont Museum’s holiday tradition continues after last year’s sold out events! Join us for songs of the season and holiday cheer from some of the finest musicians and performers in the region. Special Santa reception with cookies and hot chocolate before the matinee concert. December 17 – 21: Brewhop Trolley Christmas Lights Trolley Tour – Ding Ding! Tickets will go on-sale next Thursday, November 15th at 10am. Cost is $15.00 per person. There will be 24 tickets for each 5:30pm & 7:30pm tour that lasts about 1.5 hours starting Monday 12/17 thru Friday 12/21. The tour will start and finish at the Firehouse Art Center on 4th and Coffman. Cheers!

December 20 – 22: Jolly Trolley Caroling Tour – An *Adult* only Jolly Trolley Caroling Tour from 7pm-10pm on Thursday 12/20, Friday 12/21 and Saturday 12/22. Tickets are $49.00 and will include a portion of the Christmas Lights tour along with stops at select locations for a signature drink and of course Caroling. Tickets will go on sale next Thursday, November 15th.

December 21, 22 & 23: The Nutcracker – Centennial State Ballet is proud to present the 18th annual performances of The Nutcracker. The classic holiday tale of Clara and her prince as they travel to the land of sweets comes to life on stage, in this grand-scale production. Longmont’s youth ballet company performs under the direction of Executive Artistic Director Kristin Kingsley. Accompaniment by the Centennial State Ballet Chamber Orchestra. The performances also feature guest artists Matthew Helms.
