The Longmont Farmers Market, which produces a growers-only market featuring locally grown produce, homemade food products and local artisans, is open for it’s final weekend in the 2018 season on the 17th from 8 AM – 1 PM.
The award-winning market opens each year the first weekend in April and will remain open until this year November 17, the longest market season in Colorado. This year’s market will continue to host popular, weekly events including live music from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., free kids’ activities, free parking, and complimentary bike valet provided by Bicycle Longmont.
Over 60 vendors are at this year’s market. Those vendors include local farmers, food trucks, coffee baristas, wineries, bakeries, crafters, artisans and so much more! There will be lots of great opportunities to eat your way through the market, and great gift items to bring home with you.
The Longmont Farmers Market is one of four regional markets managed by Boulder County Farmers Markets (BCFM). The BCFM were an idea a group of local farmers came up with in 1986. What started with a few tables of produce loaded off the backs of pick-up trucks, has evolved into four, robust, destination markets in Longmont, Boulder, Lafayette and Denver’s Union Station. This year the markets celebrate their 32nd season.
The Longmont Farmers Market is held at the Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Rd. There is plenty of free parking, and admission is also free. For more information about the Longmont Farmers Market, visit bcfm.org.
