Location: Training For Warriors Longmont - 950 Boston Avenue

Learn how cupping therapies can heal and prevent shoulder and knee pain then practice on yourself or with a buddy. You will learn:
What is Cupping?
What does it do?
What can it help with?
What are the techniques?
What do the different kinds of cups do?
How can I do it on myself?
Is there anyone who should not receive Cupping?

All supplies will be provided. If you have allergies to specific lotion contents or oils, please bring your own, or wait until you have your own cups to practice with. If you do have your own cups, bring them so you can practice with support.

Christa Caputa is the owner/operator of CCAcupuncture and Sports Wellness here in Longmont. She practices out of the Terry Street Collective at 610 Terry Street. She has been practicing and teaching bodywork since 2001. She added Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and Herbs to her repertoire in 2007. In 2012 Christa finished her 4-year Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM). She is a Master Massage Therapist and a Geek for finding the root cause of imbalances in the body, structural and otherwise.

To practice Cupping Therapies on others, you must have a CO massage license.
This class is to be considered a mere taste of Cupping. This is not a full Cupping Therapy training.

(This is just the idea of it we can refine including us all but thought I would get a little down on paper)

Please read carefully and sign where indicated: I understand that massage or bodywork may be contraindicated for certain medical conditions or symptoms. A referral from my physician or licensed health care provider may be necessary prior to class.
I further understand that Cupping Therapy is provided for the purpose of relieving muscular tension and discomfort. If I experience any pain or discomfort during this class, I will inform the instructor so that the pressure may be adjusted accordingly.
I understand that massage or bodywork should not be perceived by me as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment and that I should consult a physician, chiropractor, or other qualified medical specialist for any mental or physical condition that I am aware of.
I have been informed that massage and bodywork therapists are not qualified to perform skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness, and that nothing said during the class should be perceived as such.
Because massage or bodywork should not be performed under certain medical conditions, I attest that I have stated all my known medical conditions.
