Join us for a beautiful, unique, and provocative evening of poetry by two Longmont poets!
Diana Shellenberger published her first book of poetry, Thoroughfares to Love, in April 2017. Her poetry explores the ways her various life roles shape her ability to love, express love and ask for love. She is currently writing two other poetry volumes called Lakespeak and Frontiers. She has lived in Longmont since 2000, where she and her husband raised their two sons. Diana is also a yoga master who teaches in Boulder County.
Fr. Teri Harroun is a Catholic priest in the Ecumenical Catholic Communion, ordained in 2009. She serves at Light of Christ Church in Longmont, Colorado, and has served as the Vicar for the Presiding Bishop in the Rocky Mountain Region of Colorado for both Bishop Peter Hickman and Bishop Francis Krebs from 2013 to 2016. She received her MDiv from Iliff School of Theology, 2009. She considers her thirteen years as a stay-at-home Mom as foundational to her priesthood as her formal education has been. Fr. Teri is a poet and has been published in various anthologies and recently released her first full collection, “A Woman Called Father”. Fr. Teri has a partner, Bobbi, and they live in a home in Colorado with a revolving door for their five children. Fr. Teri likes gummy bears, bandannas, crochet, and poetry. She is learning to live by the motto: pray hard, play hard, stay focused and be sparkly!
