Join us for a presentation by Brandon and Lisa Boldt, the owners of Primitive Beer – Colorado’s first exclusively spontaneous, barrel-fermented beer blendery. They’ll cover a brief history of beer and the fact that spontaneous inoculation was essentially the ubiquitous method of all fermentation until the 17th century, a brief definition describing the range of techniques “spontaneous” does and does not cover, an in-depth look at Lambic production and Methode Traditionnelle for spontaneous beer (which is the niche Primitive Beer adheres to), and a brief discussion of sourcing local ingredients and the impact on “terroir.” There will also be plenty of time to get any of your questions answered.
