The Longmont Downtown Development Authority, Visit Longmont and the Longmont Chamber of Commerce are continuing to rally behind the concept of Strongmont Spirit during this difficult time.  Along with local Longmont business BBP who designed the #Strongmont logo, the organizations put together a social media campaign that started on April 10th and will continue on a weekly basis. This campaign is a way to encourage everyone in Longmont to show off their pride for our community in a fun way, all from home.

The April 17th social campaign has a food and beverage theme. Longmonsters are encouraged to get takeout or to-go beverages to support Longmont restaurants and drinkeries in town and post a photo on social utilizing the hashtag #Strongmont, as well as tagging Visit Longmont, Longmont Downtown Development Authority and the Longmont Chamber of Commerce. This week, the three organizations are planning to choose a few winners to receive #Strongmont swag courtesy of BBP. Participants are asked to have their photos posted by midnight on April 19th to be considered for prizes. Other photo favorites will be shared on various social media, included in upcoming email newsletters, and on the #Strongmont website:

The plan is to keep this campaign running through the duration of the pandemic and into the recovery period. The organizations are currently working on future weekly themes.
