Rocky Mountain STEAM Fest Offers Fun For All Ages
In the Rocky Mountains, we are celebrating all things creative, imaginative and exploratory at a festival extraordinaire. The Rocky Mountain STEAM Fest (Science, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Arts and Making) is an awe-filled, jaw-dropping chance to tinker, hack, build, crumble, fly, drive, drink, do, dabble and PLAY! The 4th Annual Rocky Mountain STEAM Fest, produced by Maker Bolder, will be held at Longmont’s Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Rd., Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day.
STEAM Fest is a festival that focuses on hands-on, experiential activities, entertainment and education from exhibitors like Google, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and Play-Well Teknologies. This year exhibits will feature everything from human-sized Minecraft and quilting to computer programming and model railroads. You can expect arts and crafts, robots, drones, gooey science, building and making, electronics and agriculture.
For the second year in a row, STEAM Fest will feature Combat Robots. SPARC compliant one-pound and three-pound robots are welcome for this family-friendly battle. Your registration fee includes: entrance into the battle competition for one robot and weekend passes for two adults and two children to attend all events at the Rocky Mountain STEAM Fest. Registration is just $35/Robot and you can sign up here for a STEAM Fest battle of EPIC proportions held throughout the weekend.
