- Historic Downtown
- In 1870, a group of railroad investors from Chicago sold shares in a community in northern Colorado’s St. Vrain Valley - the next year, they chartered the town of Longmont, named for Longs Peak directly to the west, as the Chicago-Colorado Colony
- Today, classic buildings in the Downtown Longmont District house nearly 300 businesses and organizations on gracious, tree-lined streets
- Thousands of people visit Downtown for parades, art events and festivals for the whole family
- From lunchtime to special events, Downtown Longmont brings the community together
- St. Vrain Historical Society
- Promotes historic education and preservation in Longmont and the surrounding St. Vrain Valley
- Hover Home
- Elegant, English Tudor, Gothic Revival home of Charles and Katherine Hover, was constructed in 1913-1914
- During the 70 years the Hovers and their adopted daughter Beatrice resided at Hover Home, the property was carefully maintained and remains in excellent condition
- This distinctive home was constructed at a cost of approximately $25,000, completed in June 1914
- Old Mill Park
- Contains original buildings, plantings, and artifacts
- Has been designated a landmark by the City of Longmont
- Old St. Stephen's Church
- Built in 1881 as the first home for the congregation of St. Stephen's Episcopal parish
- Congregation of 45 communicants held their first services in their new church on Palm Sunday in April 1882
- Designated a local historic landmark and also listed on the National Register of Historic Places
