Longmont - A Quality Community

Longmont sits at the foot of the Rocky Mountains-a picturesque backdrop with the broad Great Plains spreading before it.  Because of its location, the City of Longmont has one of the best views of the mountains of any Front Range community.  Longs Peak. The City's namesake dominates the western horizon at 14,255 feet with the 13,911-foot Mount Meeker situated next to it.  Other sunsets won't compare to those created in conjunction with these grand mountains.

Because of Longmont's premier proximity to the beautiful outdoors, residents are able to take advantage of adventurous activities such as skiing, rafting, fishing, hiking and simple enjoying nature.  At the same time, Denver is a close drive and offers big-city life full of culture.

Longmont is now a part of an important high technology industry.  IBM, located on the Diagonal Highway, moved to Longmont in 1965.  This company started the high-tech trend that now defines the area.  More recently, the City has become home to other high-tech companies such as Storage Tek, Amgen and Seagate, as well as other major industry leaders.

Despite industry growth and booming real estate, Longmont retains its home-town feel, and its strong agricultural roots are still reflected throught the city.
