Historical Sites
This center, highlighting life between 1900 and
1925, is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
from May 1st through October 1st
each year. The center is open 10 AM to 5 PM,
and guided tours are offered on Fridays,
Saturdays, and Sundays at 11 AM. Visitors are
welcome to join a tour or wander around the site
on their own. Admission is free. The center
highlights agricultural life when families
prospered as farmers and witnessed the coming of
the Modern Age. Farm animals, planting and
harvesting implements, and interpretive signs
along the trail provide information about early
agricultural practices. The farmhouse is
furnished with period furniture of the 1910s.
Also a large barn contains interactive exhibits
for all ages to enjoy—including a real tractor
cab!

The Callahan House
is a historically designated home, owned and
operated by the City of Longmont. This
facility is used for various events, from business
meetings to wedding receptions. This over one
hundred-year-old Victorian two-story home and
Italian garden can accommodate events up to 150
guests. The garden is an exquisite location
with a fountain, statues, large shade trees,
multiple annual and perennial flowerbeds, large lawn
and graceful drive.

The Saint Vrain Historical Society seeks to
preserve the heritage of Longmont and the
Saint Vrain Valley. Saint Vrain Historical
Society own and operates historic properties
including Hoverhome, the Hover Farmstead,
and Old Mill Park. The Society’s office is
located in Old Saint Stephen’s Church at 470
Main Street.
