GREENWAYS

Oligarchy Greenway
This greenway runs parallel to part of the Oligarchy Ditch, going from McIntosh Lake to union Reservoir. The greenway runs from Airport Road to Rothrock Dell Park on an 8-foot wide concrete path, accompanied by landscaping along the flowing ditch.

Lefthand Greenway
From Kanemoto Park south to Pike Road, the Lefthand Greenway follows the Lefthand Creek, named for an Arapahoe Indian, Chief Niwot (translated as "Lefthand"). Starting from Left Hand Canyon, the trail travels through South Longmont where mature willow and cottonwood trees grace its banks. City plans call for the continuation of the existing greenway from Pike Road to Hover Road along Lefthand Creek.

St. Vrain Greenway
Running from Weld County Road 1 to 7th Street, including parks along the way. Miles of concrete bike paths and gravel walk trails, and public art invite visitors of all ages to the greenway. Parks along this route are Rogerâs Grove, Golden Ponds, and Isaac Walton Pond.

Rough & Ready Greenway
This greenway threads through flanking neighborhoods on each side and follows the Rough & Ready ditch. It spans from 9th to 21st Avenue, ending at the newly formed Rough & Ready Neighborhood Park, just east of Ute Creek golf course.

The Saint Vrain River is a small front range river perfect for kayaking and tubing. There are the drop structures are spread out more than other local playparks leaving nice big pools and eddies. This playpark is a good choice for the novice boater. The drops are at different angles/slopes lending to a variety of water features and waves. Currently there are not any gates set up. With all the trees around this course, temporary gates will not be a problem. The best rodeo hole is 1/2 mile below the actual playpark. It is just downstream of a foot bridge. There are bathrooms, camping, a ballfield, horseshoes and boating on site.
